Happy Twins Projections Day!

It is Twins Projections Day! This day was the idea of Josh Johnson of Josh’s Thoughts. Make sure to check out all the other Twins bloggers projections too. I’ll start out with the Twins projections and then move to MLB projections.

Twins Projections

Twins MVP: Joe Mauer
Yeah I know this is the easy pick. But seriously, this is Joe Mauer. How can you say he won’t be the team MVP? He’s the best player in the American League.

Twins Cy Young: Kevin Slowey
Kevin Slowey will show the promise he showed in 2008 and 2009 before his injury. Think 15+ wins and an ERA below 3.50.

Twins Best Rookie: Anthony Slama
The bullpen isn’t going to work out quite as expected and Slama is going to get the first call.

Most Improved Player: J.J. Hardy
The Great Hardini was terrible last year. The change of scenery will do him good. I’m standing by my prediction of a .260 batting average with 20 homers.

Bold Predictions
1. Pat Neshek gets 25 saves
2. Delmon Young hits 25 homers
3. Angel Morales gets traded for Heath Bell
4. Joe Mauer publicly supports Hitting The Eephus

A.L. Central Standings Projections

30 homeruns and 100 rbs’s in 2009. I’d love to see his comeback season!
