Projecting the Twins: Justin Morneau
Justin Morneau is one of baseball’s top 1st basemen. He is a former MVP. He continually drives in 100+ runs. He is the cleanup hitter this team needs.
Morneau is not an easy player to project. Will he stay healthy and avoid his late season slide?

I’m thinking your pretty close here. Two things I think are off are the R’s and the SB’s. I think with Kubel and Cuddyer hitting behind him, especially with the season they had in 2009, he’ll be scoring more runs. As far as the SB’s, I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt here and thinking he’ll be able to manage more than one all season. I do think he will avoid the late season slide as he did in 2008. If not for the back injury last season I think he would have been able to give Mauer some competition for MVP honors.
